Shopping list for a MEWS free diet. Some fantastic ideas on here. (see below)

REMEMBER TO CHECK EACH TIME, MANUFACTURERS CHANGE INGREDIENTS IN THEIR PRODUCTS FREQUENTLY. NO RESPONSIBILITY CAN BE TAKEN FOR THESE LISTS CHANGING.

Notes:

1) Manufacturers change the ingredients in foods without warning – so you do need to check products each time you buy them.
2) Some of the products mentioned below contain Soya Lecithin, which we were told was ok on a Soya Free diet because it is a highly purified oil, and contains none of the protein to which most people react.
3) Some products may state "may contain traces of...." You will need to check this and make a call dependant on the level of your childs sensitivity.

Tesco, Sainsburys, Ocado (online) Waitrose, Asda - they all stock "free from" items.

Online I have found the following useful:

Allergy Essex
Dove's Farm
Ocado (you can add filters to your search to exclude certain foods)
Mrs Crimbles gluten free but often also dairy, soya and corn and sometimes egg free.

BUT perhaps the most exciting new development is FoodWiz from Food Angel .com which is a smart phone application that utilises your phone camera to scan products and using filters you add to your account online it can tell you if that item is safe for you to eat.

Foodwiz is now on Facebook too, read more here Google
